It seems that Albany International Airport is listening to the Capital Region. Just recently it was announced that non-stop service would be added to Buffalo. Now another non-stop flight has been added, this time heading south. Chances are you have family or maybe it's you who travels to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. If you do, you know it's a pain to fly from Albany. Usually you must fly into a neighboring airport, rent a car and drive another hour and a half to your destination. Well, not anymore.

Elite airlines announced Wednesday that they will begin non-stop service from Albany to Myrtle Beach on April 5th. Booking began on Wednesday and of course you will pay for convenience. The flights run on Thursdays and Sundays, with fares beginning at $199 one-way. Good news for golfers that want to get away. There is no fee for the first checked bag up to fifty pounds or over sized golf bags.
