There was a recent e-coli scare with romaine lettuce and now we are being warned about more healthy veggies that may make you sick. Last month we were told to get rid of all of our romaine lettuce because there was an outbreak of e-coli. Now that the lettuce is back to being consumed, there are more vegetables being recalled that came from the same California farm.

According to WGRZ, the United States Food and Drug Administration located the e-coli strain that caused the romaine lettuce recall now is recalling red leaf lettuce, green leaf lettuce and cauliflower.

The lettuce (red and green) were grown in California and distributed to Colorado, Pennsylvania, Oregon, Texas and Washington state. The cauliflower was distributed to Arizona, California, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

Last week, fifty nine people in fifteen states were sickened by the veggies and twenty three of them were hospitalized. Three types of produce that are being recalled were harvested between November 27 and November 30th. However none of the veggies have tested positive for e-coli.
