Chick-fil-A is the latest food chain scouting locations in the Albany, New York area!  That's right—they're currently looking for a home here in the Capital Region!

In a statement, a spokesperson said they are interested in opening a restaurant here but they don't have a location picked out quite yet.

Chick-fil-A is a chain fast food restaurant based in suburban Atlanta. Its customers and fans know and love it because of their delicious chicken sandwiches and crispy waffle fries.

It's a family-owned company with more than 1,900 locations in 42 states and Washington, D.C. Annual sales last year totaled nearly $6 billion. The company is known for its strong Christian family values and is even closed on Sundays.

I personally have fond memories of eating Chick-fil-A when I worked in the mall as a college student in Florida. So good. Just the No. 1, man, with a peach milkshake!

At every location there seemed to always be lines of hungry fans.

Somehow, for me personally, the chicken became less delicious after members of the Cathy family (the owners) took a public stance against gay marriage in 2012. After their business sharply declined, Chick-fil-A spokespeople said they regretted saying what they did... but the family's stance on the issue has remained the same.

But, you know what, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that same-sex marriage is a right guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution, so there! Go ahead, Cathy family! Bring your chicken to Albany, Chick-fil-A! Chicken for everyone!

Besides, I'm sure I can't live without their peach milkshakes. They bring all the boys to the yard. Except for the gay boys...

Are you excited for Chick-fil-A to come to Albany? Where do you think it should go?
