Missing Vehicle Leads Albany Area Woman To Jail

A 24-year-old woman allegedly took a vehicle without permission, and ended up crashing it when she was followed by the police.

According to a press release from The East Greenbush Police Department, a pickup truck was reported missing and had been spotted by an East Greenbush Police officer. The officer followed Hannah C. Diggs from East Greenbush attempted to pull her over. She continued driving for several miles and ended up driving off of Phillps Road and hitting an embankment.

Diggs was arraigned in East Greenbush Town Court and was charged with Unlawfully Fleeing Police, and Unauthorized Use Of A Motor Vehicle. She was sent to the Rensselaer County Jail, and will go to court again, on November 14.
