I'm a millennial and just because I fit into a certain age group apparently means I know an entirely different language that makes no sense. Does what we say confuse you? Let me try to explain.

We as a generation talk really strange if you don't know what certain words mean. If I'm going somewhere that's lit, don't worry, you don't have to call the fire department. If I've just been ghosted, it doesn't mean my house is haunted and if my friend is salty, it has nothing to do with the food she's eaten.

I'll run down a few things that millennials have decided are "trendy" and hopefully explain some things. I'm a part of this generation and I even find it difficult to figure out what people are saying.

As I mentioned before, lit basically means that something is really awesome and a place I want to go to. Ghosting is when you're kind of talking to someone and may even be in a relationship and then out of the blue, they ghost you, and you never hear from them again. If someone says you're being salty it means you seem like you're in a bad mood, you're not being overtly rude but you definitely have a chip on your shoulder.

Is there anything you've heard and want to know about? Millennials have a really strange language but it doesn't have to be limited to that. A TV show you've been hearing about? An app that seems interesting? Let me know!
