Merchandise Returned From Suspected Shoplifters

Three people went into the East Greenbush Hannaford and were accused of making an attempt of acting together to steal some groceries without paying for them.

In a press release from the East Greenbush Police Department, security for the store identified the alleged shoplifters as 22-year-old Jennie L. Mather from Castelton, 26-year-old Justin T. Schreiner from New Lebanon and Amber L. Holmberg, 22-years-old from East Greenbush.

After the trio left the store, they split up. Two of them left the area on foot, while another went to a vehicle that they all arrived in. The suspect, who was driving the car, drove to find the other two. During that attempt, store security and East Greenbush Police spotted all three suspects. All of the stolen merchandise was recovered.

All three suspects will be heading to East Greenbush Town Court on August 21.
