As most of us get together with our families and friends during Christmas and the holidays, these special times could end up being the things we remember the most, for the rest of our lives.

When I was growing up, we used to hop in the family car, and ride around to look at all the holiday light displays around town. I still try to do that with my family.

On one of the Sundays before Christmas, we would put up the tree. Mom would make Christmas cookies and we would have Christmas music playing. Not only the songs we all know but songs from other countries, including my nationalities, Italian and Polish.

Yeah, I couldn’t wait for Santa and to open my presents on the big day, but those are just a few of the memories I will always think about every Christmas.

One other thing I remember with me being a dad, is the wonderful and “fun” time I had putting a tractor together for my son on Christmas Eve. It was at the end that night I decided I would pay the extra ten dollars to have things assembled at the store.

So whatever holiday you celebrate, and whatever gifts you may give or receive, it’s the time spent with your family that you’ll remember the most. Always cherish those precious memories.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you and your family from me and my family.
