1994- The Country Music filled flick 'Maverick' makes it's theater debut.  In addition to a star studded Country Soundtrack, the movie features cameo appearances by Kathy Mattea, Hal Ketchum, Waylon Jennings, Vince Gill, Janis Gill, Carlene Carter, Reba McEntire and Clint Black. The movie stars Mel Gibson, Jodie Foster and James Garner.

1957- Marty Robbins is at No. 1 with 'A White Sport Coat and a Pink Carnation.' Marty's third chart topper stays put for five weeks on the Billboard Country charts.
