So as we were all sitting back figuring the second winner of the $324 million dollar Mega Millions lottery was waiting to come forward due the the standard protocol (lining up a financial planner, lawyer, changing phone number, etc.), the winner was wondering himself who may have won a share of one of the largest lottery jackpots in history.

Steve Tran is a delivery driver from California who is in an out of a lot of places in the course of a week.  He buys lottery tickets along his route and throws them onto a stack of tickets..

"Everybody was anxious, looking for the person," Tran said and remembered thinking that the winner "must be a lucky man."

For the past few weeks, the winning ticket was sitting on a stack of losers.  It had been announced that the winning ticket was purchased in San Jose', California.  Then recently at 3 a.m., he woke up in the middle of the night and remembered HE had purchased tickets in San Jose'.  Tran went and got his tickets to check then woke his wife up with the incredible news.

A few hours later, Tran called his boss and left the following voice mail message: "I'm really sorry boss. I hit the jackpot. I don't think I'm going to come in today, tomorrow, or ever."
