Meet Greg Bates – Singer Of ‘Did It For The Girl’

GNA has introduced so many Country Music singers who have gone on to become huge superstars in Country Music- from our 'Rising Stars' showcase singers like Lady Antebellum and The Band Perry to former Countryfest openers like Kenny Chesney and Dierks Bentley.

On August 25, 2012 the GNA Summer Picnic will feature another rising star named Greg Bates.  Ironically, very few Country Music singers are actually born and raised in Nashville, but Bates can join that elite list.  As his first single 'Did It For The Girl' climbs the charts, Bates wants you to know that he's excited to be in Country Music.

The young star posted this statement on his web site, "I grew up listening to the legends and because of their influence, I have the rare opportunity of making music for a living. If I owe Alan Jackson, George Strait, and Dwight Yoakam for kicking off these dreams, then I also owe a lot of people who are helping me follow them. Things are really exciting these days and they are just getting started."
