University of Albany Men's Basketball Junior Guard Peter Hooley had one of those March Moments that was bigger than any basketball game; yet thanks to his game winning shot his University of Albany team is headed to their 3rd straight NCAA Tournament Appearance to take on the nationally ranked Oklahoma Sooners.

This is the time of year in Men's College Basketball where those who have lived in anonymity throughout the year become household names thanks to the frenzy known to us as March Madness.

Hooley, from Australia missed part of this season so he could be with his family and his mother who was dying from colon cancer.  Peter's Mom passed away on January 30th of this year and after missing 8 games Peter recently rejoined the team.

Yesterday's game pitted Albany against Stoney Brook and Hooley was later quoted in a post game interview with ESPN: "When you have angels watching you, anything can happen,” This is special to me, it’s the best moment of my life. After everything I’ve been though, this is for my family, for mom especially.”

The 2015 NCAA starts tomorrow and while we're sure to see some special moments, something tells me Peter Hooley's Meant to be March Moment might be the most special of all in 2015.
