March Country Idol 2014 Update

As we prepare to head into the final stretch of Country Idol auditions we salute the March 2014 finalists.

The March panel of rotating judges featured Richie Phillips, Bethany, and Jay Yager. The night's top scoring singers included Mark Pierre, Drew Polsun, Lauren Bonavenia, Jenna DeBrino, and Tori Osterhat.  These 5 singers will join the other finalists to perform at the finals for a grand prize of $5,000.

Each contestant can score up to 10 points for appearance, 15 points for stage presence, and 25 points for vocals. A rotating panel of guest judges score the contestants with the top 5 scoring singers advancing to the finals. The same judging criteria will be used at the finals on Thursday, June 12, with a panel of 4-5 guest judges.

Former winners and anyone not signed to a professional recording contract is welcome to register to sing by clicking here. Contestants are selected at random.

Final Country Idol Auditions will be held at Budweiser Country Night at Vapor in Saratoga Casino and Raceway on Thursday, April 10 and Thursday, May 8- with the finals on Thursday, June 12.

By the way, a special Vapor Country Night 'Party For A Cause' will happen on Thursday, August 21 to benefit the Saratoga County 4-H.
