In a press release from The East Greenbush Police Department, there was a 9-1-1 call about a fracas at Quigley’s on Columbia Turnpike. When they got there, they found George D. Odom, Jr. from Albany at the front door, attempting to go back into the bar. He was thrown out of the establishment for fighting.

Witnesses told police that Odom became enraged, picked up a bar stool and threw it into the crowd, hitting and injuring a woman. She was treated at the scene by Bruen Rescue Squad and transported to Albany Memorial Hospital for further treatment.

Odom was taken into custody and arraigned in East Greenbush Town Court. He was charged with Assault Third Degree and sent to jail until he could post bail. He will be back in court later this month.
