A man from Fort Ann was arrested by Rensselaer Police, and ended up with nine different charges after he allegedly led police on a car chase that went through several Rensselaer County communities.

Robert Dickinson was accused of being drunk when authorities attempted to pull him over. That’s when he allegedly sped away from them. A car chase began, and continued through East Greenbush, Rensselaer and Schodack. At the end of the car chase, Dickinson allegedly jumped out of his vehicle and started to run. The foot chase ended after he was tasered by police.

According to the story from WNYT, Dickinson was taken in to custody. He allegedly had been convicted of a prior felony DWI and because of that, it led to a charge of possessing a shotgun - Illegal because of the previous DWI.
