Man From East Nassau Charged With Assaulting A Woman
A man and a woman were at an East Greenbush area motel, but the man evidently had some issues. The woman went to the lobby of the motel to call 9-1-1. The motel clerk overheard her make the call, and then saw the man come up to her and abruptly disconnected the call.
According to a press release from The East Greenbush Police Department, after the man took the woman out of the lobby, the motel clerk called the police. When the police arrived, they took 33-year-old Daniel R. Stanley, Jr. into custody.
After investigating, they discovered that there was something more than just two people sharing a motel room for the evening. Stanely went to East Greenbush Town Court where he was arraigned, and charged with Unlawful Imprisonment Second Degree, Obstructing Breathing or Airway, Unlawfully Disable a Device to Prevent an Emergency Call and Harassment First Degree. Stanley was sent to the Rennselaer County Jail, and had bail set at $2500.00.
