Man Allegedly Stole Purse The Hid In Trunk

Someone had more than  a spare tire in the trunk of their car.

New York State Police have reported that a 29-year-old Troy man allegedly stole an elderly woman’s purse. In an effort to avoid getting caught, he hid inside a car trunk.

In the story from WNYT, this happened at the Brunswick Price Chopper. After a search of this one particular car by authorities, they discovered Tyler Swart was hiding in the trunk. The car was owned by a woman that was dating Swart.

Besides finding the elderly woman’s purse allegedly on Swart, , he was also accused of holding some cocaine and a crack pipe. Swart was sent to the Rensselaer County Jail.
