34 year old Richard Hempstead was standing in line for a ride when investigators say he inappropriately touched a 13-year-old female who he did not know at the Great Escape and Splashwater Kingdom in Lake George.

According to the Warren Count Sheriff's office, Hempstead made contact with the 13 year old while he was standing with his own daughter, who is 8.  There is no word yet on what exactly he did,  but according to WRGB News,  Hempstead is charged with two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child and a misdemeanor charge of forcible touching.

In addition to the endangering and groping charges filed against him, the sheriff's office says he is also accused of aggravated unlicensed operation as his driver’s license is currently suspended in New York State.

Hempstead was sent to Police Lockup for a lack of bail and is due back to the Queensbury Town Court at a later date.
