There's no stopping the hip-shaking, country crooning, lovable country star known as Luke Bryan. He's the first artist in the Billboard Country Airplay Chart's 24-year history to lock in the top two spots.

The country superstar's hit 'Play It Again' nabbed his ninth No. 1, and his appearance on Florida Georgia Line's 'This Is How We Roll' helped him grab the No. 2 slot, according to Billboard.

Bryan has set the precedent (cue artists scrambling for high-level collaborations), which hasn't been touched since the chart's genesis. Additionally, on the Hot Country Songs chart, Bryan has claimed Nos. 1 and 2 with these two hits for four of the past five weeks, making him the man on top.

There are only two artists that have come close to something similar since 1958, when multiple country rankings were rolled into a singular chart, Taylor Swift and legend Buck Owens doubled up on their top spots. Swift's 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' hit No. 1 the same week 'Red' was released as a preview cut, rocketing to No. 2, in Oct. 2012.

Owens' 'Together Again' and 'My Heart Skips a Beat' earned him a double-whammy in June/July 1964, when the songs traded places at the top -- and stayed there for three weeks.

Both of Bryan's hit songs were performed at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, where he received the evening's biggest country honor as Top Country Artist.
