Lovin’ Those Dedications
December 15, 2010 10:19 AM Every weeknight from 8 p.m. – 12 midnight, I host the Cryin’, Lovin’ or Leavin’ show on Country 107.7, WGNA-F.M. (but you knew that).
You know how it works; you call in with a story and have me play a song for someone. You don’t have to be cryin’, lovin’ or leavin’ to dedicate a song. There are people that just want to hear a song and send it to themselves – A self dedication, as I call it. It’s kind of like self medication, except the drug is music, and it makes you feel better.
If there’s a party going on, people have called in to play a song for everyone at their party. There are nights when there are a few different parties going on, usually on Friday nights. Some nights, I feel like I’ve been to a lot of parties, and never even left the radio station. I would like to thank you for inviting me, even if I’m not there physically. Don’t worry; I’m having as much fun as you are.
I thought I would give you a sample of a caller I had on the air. He just wanted to bust on his buddy. I felt the need to help him out.
