Lou’s Favorite Pizzas Just In Time For WGNA’s Pizza Wars 2012

I think almost everyone loves pizza. Sometimes, it’s a slice or two for a quick snack, or maybe a whole pie for dinner, and then some leftover for later.

Jake told you about his favorite toppings and I thought I’d also share my favorites with you, since WGNA's Pizza Wars 2012 is on February 2, about a week away, It all will start at 5 p.m.

5) Chicken Wing Pizza

As long as it’s not too spicy, this gives the pizza some really good flavor.

4) Pepperoni

As long as the pie isn’t buried in it. That makes it a little overwhelming and greasy.

3) Lasagna Pizza

Making a pizza with the ingredients that go into lasagna, without the noodles. I remember the first time I tried this. I was hooked.

2) Cheese

Some people call it boring. I don’t care. It’s one of my favorites.

1) Green and Red Peppers and Onions.

This one tops the list for me. I love this combination.

You’ll get to sample pizzas from several Albany area establishments at WGNA’s Pizza Wars. Last year, we had such a great turnout that we’ve expanded it. It will be at Proctors in Schenectady, and the Albany Holiday Inn on Wolf Road in Colonie. $5 dollars is how much to get at each place, then sample all kinds of pizzas and vote on your favorite to crown the 2012 Albany area pizza champ.
