For race fans in the northeast, the Saturday after Thanksgiving presents an opportunity to look back at race heroes of the past and the speedways they competed on.

The Saratoga Automobile Museum is presenting its annual Lost Speedways program today. The popular program brings together race fans, competitors, historians and media members to revisit memories of race tracks and race cars that have been lost to time.

Today's program includes presentations on Capital Region motorcycle racing; the Pico Speedway in Vermont; the Oswego Speedway in New York, the Flemington Fairgrounds and Harmony Speedway in New Jersey; the short track at Nazareth, Pennsylvania; and race drivers who competed and won with the famous Schwinning chassis dirt modifieds.

Related photos, videos and memorabilia will also be on display. The Saratoga Automobile Museum is located in the Saratoga Spa State Park.
