His website site states "long live living long", and he proved it. The man who inspired thousands of people to live a healthy life style has died. 96 year old Jack LaLanne, known as a "fitness guru", has died. It happened, Sunday, at his California home. He died of respiratory failure due to pneumonia.

A statement from his wife of 51 years, Elaine LaLanne, "I have not only lost my husband and a great American icon, but the best friend and most loving partner anyone could ever hope for".

One thing he was known for, in 1957, when he was 43 years old, he did 1000 push ups in 23 minutes. (I think it would take me about 23 days to do 23  push ups).
