If you love camping and exploring the amazing sights our area has to offer, New York state is looking for you. Here's how you can become a guide for everyone to enjoy our area in the summer. Want to help those who enjoy the Adirondacks and the Catskills this upcoming summer? The New York state Department of Environmental Conservation needs volunteers to help.

According to News Channel 13, in a program that started last year, the DEC is looking for "Campground Ambassadors" to assist newer campers in activities like fishing, outdoor cooking and hiking. If you are chosen, you will be assigned to a campsite for two to four weeks between July 1st and Labor Day.
