We've once again come to the end of another week and that means it's time to go back in the vault and break out a great country song from the past. This week, we go back to 1996 for Lonestar's first #1 hit "No News".

Released in January of 1996 this was the follow up to their first single, the top 10 hit "Tequila Talkin" from their self titled debut album. It hit the top of the charts in April of the same year. This of course would not be their only #1 smash. The group would have several more including their biggest hit in 1999 "Amazed".

This was also the time that John Rich was part of the band, he was fired/left  two years later and of course went on to success as a part of the duo Big & Rich. Lead singer Richie McDonald also left the band in 2007 and was replaced with Cody Collins with very little success. It was announced recently that McDonald was rejoining the band and will record new music and tour in 2012 to celebrate the band's 20th anniversary.
