This morning around 9:30 a.m., A female worker at Super Shoes in Northway Mall was punched in the head and knocked down as she was going to make a bank deposit.

This was witnessed by a Colonie Police officer who happened to be in the area at the time of the robbery. The officer was joined by an employee of Empire Wine and Liquor, also in the mall, as they chased the robber. He was caught near Colonie Center. The suspect is Fallah Omeja Jenkins of Schenectady.

From a story on News 10 ABC, Jenkins was found hiding under a parked truck. The robbery also caused Colonie Central High School, Roessleville Elementary School and Sand Creek Middle School to all be in lockout for a brief time.

$2,800 dollars was the amount taken from the woman. Police recovered it all. The victim suffered only minor injuries. I’m glad they do a lockout when something bad is going on in the area of a school.
