The goods news for fans of pro basketball is the NBA lockout  that lasted over five months was resolved.   The goods for area fans is that Glen Falls High School basketball star Jimmer Fredette has finalized his contract as a rookie with the Sacramento Kings.   Fredette is expected to play as a point guard for the Kings.

Fredette played college ball for BYU and became one of the most talked-about players last year.  He was orignally selected 10th overall by the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA draft.  The Kings acquired Fredette in a draft-day trade with Milwaukee.

Term's of Fredette's deal were not disclosed.

The lockout has led to a shortened 66-game NBA season that will start on Christmas Day.
