A 22-year-old Hudson Falls man was on his way to the annual Polar Plunge in Lake George on New Year’s Day.

He didn’t make it to the annual event and instead got into trouble with the law. Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies reported that Korey A. White was driving on Route 9N in Lake George and ended up driving off of the road. After that, he allegedly struck a utility pole and flipped the car.

When authorities got to the scene, they found that White wasn’t injured, but was allegedly intoxicated. According to the article in the Times Union, it was found that he had a blood - alcohol content of three times the legal limit. Authorities charged White with several traffic violations including DWI, and will be back returning Lake George Town Court at a later date.
