Local Man In Trouble For A Road Rage Incident

Several people say that they saw one person allegedly drive his vehicle into another person’s vehicle on purpose, and are calling it an act of 'road rage'. A call was put into The East Greenbush Police Department about incident, which happened at Hampton Avenue and Columbia Turnpike.

After the officers got to scene, they spoke to several of the witnesses, and then continued to do a little more investigating. That led to the arrest of a 42-year-old man from Rensselaer.

James Dethomasis was charged with Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangerment and Criminal Mischief. According to a press release from The East Greenbush Police Department, Dethomasis was arraigned in East Greenbush Town Court, and then remanded to The Rensselaer County Jail. He will be returning to court at a later date for more court proceedings.

There’s no word on what prompted the alleged act of road rage. Fortunately there were no injuries.
