This is extremely sad to read, but I thought folks should know about it.  We feel for this gentleman's family.

According to the TimesUnion.com, the local police in Waterford identified a man who's body was found in Lock 2 of the Waterford Flight of Locks.  His name was Kevin Coffey.

It seems a woman was taking a walk about 7 o'clock in the morning and identified the body floating in the lock.   She reported the incident and the police and fire departments in Waterford immediately raced to the scene.

This appears at this time to be accidental in nature.  They couldn't find a car anywhere near where they discovered him, so there is still some more investigating to do at the time of this writing.

We do know that it was in an area off of Route 32 (Broad Street, according to the Times Union)

We would like to take this time once again to offer condolences to the friends and family.
