The accused ‘meat bandit’ was accused of loading up almost $300 dollars of meat on a plastic tray and walking out of the store without paying for it. According to a press release from the East Greenbush Police Department, Ronald L. Sampson’s alleged shoplifting list consisted of eight prime ribs, four applewood bacon packs, four sirloin steaks, two t-bone steaks, two ground beef packs, four strip steaks, two beef eye rounds and two porterhouse steaks.

Store security contacted East Greenbush Police. When they saw Sampson about to leave the parking lot, they stopped him and arrested him. He allegedly had the stolen meat in the vehicle.

He was issued an appearance ticket and will be back in East Greenbush Town Court. He was also accused of a parole violation and was turned over to the Division Of Parole.
