A 38-year-old Waterford man was arrested and charged with petit larceny after authorities say that he stole several items from vehicles.

When they found Donald Gilbert, he allegedly had a few of the items in his possession.

Early Sunday morning after a some snow had recently fallen, one Waterford Police Officer that knew about the recent burglaries, saw footprints in the snow. They were on several driveways trailing up to the parked vehicles. Those footprints eventually led the officer to someone hiding in some shrubbery. That’s when Gilbert was taken into custody.

According to the story from News 10 ABC, Gilbert has an arrest record of 22 times, which dates back to 1986 which consist of numerous misdemeanors and felonies. There is atill an investigation going on and Gilbert may end up with more charges.
