With tv shows like the CBS C.S.I. series, I always find these stories interesting.

It’s how authorities use technology and science to identify suspects in a crime.

For the tv show, it’s a search, usually to find a murderer. In December, I had a story about a man that was arrested for allegedly stealing a truck. There was another story about someone getting arrested for allegedly robbing a Latham restaurant. In both stories, authorities used DNA to find the suspects.

In this case, it was to find a suspect in the burglary of a local business. The burglary took place in Columbia County at Traditions Linen. Late one night after the business had closed, someone broke into the building and burglarized it. That was back in October.

Because of DNA evidence found at the business, authorities recently found a suspect and arrested him. According to the story from WNYT, authorities arrested a Hudson man. Martin Rollins was arrested and sent to the Columbia County Jail.
