Local Artist Gregg Simmons Pens New Song About Summer In The Adirondacks – [AUDIO]
We all know how tough it is for local artists to break into the “big time”. It’s a ton of hard work. Not only do you have to constantly learn new material to stay fresh, but sometimes you are forced to write your own to differentiate yourself. Gregg Simmons has certainly done that, for Cryin’ Out Loud (and I mean that literally) Ok, 20 years in the “PUNitentary for me. Gregg Simmons performs in the highly successful local band “Cryin’ Out Loud“. He’s also judged our Country Karaoke contests at Vapor from time to time, and actually opened for Countryfest back in 2010 with his former band, Loose Cannon.
Well, he wrote me recently and attached a song that he had just completed recording entitled “Summer in the Adirondacks“. Personally, I find it really catchy and well produced. The audio is below. Take a listen!
It’s so cool to hear a song with local subject matter written by a local guy, isn’t it? Leave your comments for him in the area at the bottom of this article! (positive only!)
Oh, and by all means go see him performing live with their band sometime. Request the song! Like them on Facebook! What a great summer song. Makes me want to get off this computer right now and go hiking! (except I don’t hike!)
