Lights Camera Jackson 4/14

The big movie this weekend is obviously the 8th installment of The Fast and the Furious franchise called The Fate of the Furious. Lights Camera Jackson saw it so it was the first thing we asked him about!

Lights Camera Jackson saw The Fate of the Furious on Thursday and had an interesting take, even comparing it to Mission Impossible. Apparently actress Helen Mirren got her part as the mother of Owen Shaw and Deckard Shaw through unconventional means. Granted, when you're as an amazing actress as she is, you almost don't have to audition anymore!

Also, locally, Jackson gave us the heads up that many of the drive-ins are opening this weekend. If you call the Malta Drive-In or the Hollywood Drive-In, you can hear Jackson's voice tell you which movies they're showing each night.

Last, he announced some new movie castings. Josh Brolin was announced as the character Cable in Deadpool 2, even though he already has played a character in the Marvel Universe. Jackson gave us a bit of a spoiler on his fate at the end of the film. Also announced, Jude Law will be playing a young Dumbledore in the upcoming sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them (which I also discussed in a previous post).
