Lee Ann Womack fans are going to be pleased to know the singer has announced the release of her next album, her first release in nearly seven years.

'The Way I'm Livin'' is set to drop on Sept. 23 and it will be on a new label for Womack. She's partnered with Sugar Hill Records for the new album and the title-track from the record is scheduled to be released today (May 22). The song was written by Grammy Country Song of the Year nominee Adam Wright and it's just a sample of what's to come for her.

“It feels so good to be getting new music out to the fans,” Womack says (quote via Music Row). “I live to sing great songs that tear holes in life -- just show living for what it is."

Womack says for the new album she wanted to talk about the real aspects of life -- no matter how hard or messy. “I wanted songs that talked about how life really is, the raw spots, the tough places, the meltdowns and messy parts,” Womack says. “Hard, sad, rough … all the stuff people pretend doesn’t exist! Because once you embrace that, you can figure out what to do; or not do!”

The upcoming album was produced by Frank Liddell and features songs from Chris Knight, Mindy Smith, Buddy Miller, Mando Saenz, Hayes Carll, Neil Young, Bruce Robison and one cover song which was written by Roger Miller.
