It's back to real life for LeAnn Rimes, whose reality TV show, 'LeAnn & Eddie,' has been canceled after one season.

The show was intended to give fans a look inside the private lives of the country singer and her husband, actor Eddie Cibrian. The couple have weathered enormous controversy since they met on the set of a TV movie, 'Northern Lights,' in 2009, while they were both still married to other people. They wed in 2011, and Rimes was hopeful that the show would let them set the record straight.

"This show gave us an opportunity to take back our lives in a way and show a different side of us than what people really believe," Rimes explains (quote via Us magazine). "Look, if their minds are changed or opened or whatever, that's wonderful. But if not, I don't think we're really set up to change anyone's mind."

Much of the series' first episode was devoted to a storyline about Cibrian's ex-wife, Brandi Glanville, with whom he and Rimes have had an ongoing and very public war of words since she rose to fame on Bravo's 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.'

VH1 confirmed the show's cancelation on Tuesday (Jan. 20).
