Laurence Fishburne Leaving ‘CSI’ [VIDEO]

First it was Gil Grissom and now Dr. Ray Langston will be leaving my favorite show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. According to Deadline.com, Oscar nominated actor Laurence Fishburne will not be returning to the popular primetime show next season.

According to the report, Fishburne, who joined the show in 2008 as William Petersen’s replacement, opted not to renew his contract, and will instead return to movies full-time. He has a movie coming out later this year called 'Contagion', an action thriller with Matt Damon, Kate Winslet and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Though Fishburne was a big get for CBS, his presence never resulted in major ratings; the show finished 30th in the ratings last season, down considerably from previous seasons.

I was always a William Petersen AKA Gil Grissom fan, but I also liked Fishburne's character as well. It was a change of pace on the show, but seeing that the ratings have been down, most folks left when Grissom left. That is a shame because this past season's finale was phenomenal!!

I am a huge fan of this show and I will continue to watch until they decide to end it!! How about you?
