Latham Circle Mall Is Now Officially Just A Memory

All of the buildings that were part of the former Latham Circle Mall are officially gone.

The final remaining structure has been torn down. I believe that was where JC Penney was. Lowes Home Improvement store is still there, but that was basically built after that section of the original mall was demolished. Construction has been ongoing on the new Shoppes At Latham Circle.

There were many stories about what was actually going to be built in the new shopping center. Those stories included a possible Wegmans or Costco being part of the new shopping center. The announcement was finally made that a Walmart Supercenter was going to be built, which is what is being constructed. According to the article in the Times Union, so far, the only new tenant that’s signed on for the new Shoppes At Latham Circle is the new Walmart Supercenter.

Latham Circle Mall used to be the home for the WGNA studios and offices.
