Ready for your good news story of the day?

The Hot Yoga Spot in Latham recently donated $2,000.00 to buy bullet and stab protection vests for some NY K-9 cops in need!

Bili, Lord, and Cer from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office have been awarded ballistic vests thanks to the nonprofit organization, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. Donations were also made by the Cannata Family Foundation, Inc. of Foxboro, MA.

These vests provide a great deal of protection from knife and shank attacks while the K-9s perform their duty.

Bili, Lord, and Cer will be custom fitted for the vests and will receive the individual vests in a few weeks.

Through private and corporate sponsorships, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. has provided over 1223 law enforcement dogs in 40 states with protective vests since 2009 at a cost of over $1.1 million... so far!

If you want to help, you can order a plush stuffed German Shepherd K9 Hero, "Cesar", who is the company ambassador of Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. now for sale online for $15.00 at www.vik9s.org. Proceeds from the sales will provide bullet and stab protective vests, for police dogs actively working without the potentially lifesaving equipment.

Thanks to The Hot Yoga Spot for stepping up for a worthy cause!
