A project to replace the bridge carrying Route 9p over I-87 will be causing some delays on the Northway this week.  The original plans to close lanes on the Northway by Exit 14 will be delayed, however, a day due to the weather.  The work will involve closing all northbound lanes at four different points during the night.  Each closure will only last 15 minutes.  Work was originally scheduled for Tuesday night, but has since been switched to tonight.  Road work in the area of Exit 14 will take place between 8pm and 6am tomorrow morning.  Motorists should consider alternate routes when traveling.

Wednesday night, there was also suppose to be more road work and because of the delay of the work scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday night's work has been pushed to Thursday.  Between 8pm Thursday night and 6am Friday morning, all southbound lanes will be closed and traffic will be diverted to the Exit 14 off ramp.  Drivers will then be sent across Route 9P to the Exit 14 on ramp to reenter the Northway.
