Kyle Larson took the checkered flag Sunday at the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway, and it was an emotional win!

You could see Larson wiping tears away as he crossed the finish line.  One of the reasons for all the emotion - the win Sunday was the first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race win for Larson.  Larson also explained this was an emotional win thinking about the recent death of his close friend Bryan Clauson.  He dedicated this win to the Clauson family.

The win is also the first time a graduate of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity and NASCAR Next programs has reached Victory Lane in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

Larson beat out Chase Elliott on the last restart, with a push from Brad Keselowski, to take and keep the lead.

This weekend’s racing was one for the history books!  Winners in the Sprint Cup Series, Camping World Truck Series (Brett Moffitt) and the XFINITY Series (Michael McDowell) were all first time winners!
