Kids Clothing Stores May Close

We love these kids clothes for Ryan and after hearing that the company is filing Chapter 11, they could be closing forever here in the Capital Region.Gymboree and Crazy 8s children's clothing stores are going under some restructuring financially. They have filed for bankruptcy but have been allowed to operate and stay open for the time being. Under the reconstructing, the company may still have to close some of their stores. Gymboree, which is the parent company, owns 1300 stores nationwide including the Crazy 8s stores. One of the consultants suggested that, to free up even more capital during the bankruptcy reconstruction, the company should close 450 stores.

No word on when that may begin. Currently there are four stores in the Capital Region. There is a Gymboree in Crossgates Mall and Wilton Mall, a Crazy 8s in Colonie Center and another one in Wilton Mall. I am nervous that at least one of our stores may be on the chopping block. After all, they are considering closing one third of their stores.

We have our favorite clothing stores for Ryan and this is one of them. We will be sad if they do wind up closing.
