Kid Rushes Court At Knicks Game to Hug Carmelo Anthony

Carmelo probably needed a hug after another tough season for the Knicks.

Usually, this would be a big security issue. But when it is a young fan trying to hug what could be his favorite player, it is a different story.

Last night in New Orleans a kid rushed the court to give Carmelo Anthony a hug. Carmelo told ESPN he was 'shocked' when he felt someone hugging him on the court, but when he realized it was a young fan he gave him a pat on the head. Afterwards security just let him run back in to the stands. According to the ESPN story, his mom did look embarrassed and they left the game.

The Knicks have improved this year, but It's been another long season of more losses than wins. Carmelo probably needed the hug at this point of the year.
