About 30 miles east of the Albany area, in Bennington, Vermont, there were recently five cars stolen within one week.

According to the story in the Bennington Banner, police found four of the vehicles. One car was found overturned, across the Vermont - New York border, in White Creek. Three cars were found in a Bennington CVS parking lot. One car is still missing.

Bennington Police have discovered one thing that is common with the thefts - the keys were left in the cars. Some of the cars were just parked and some were still running. It’s all pretty much common sense to help avoid this kind of a situation, and the Bennington Police listed some tips in the story in the Bennington Banner to help deter your vehicle from being stolen.
