Kenny Chesney Switching Labels & More in Casey’s Taste of Country
Rumors concerning Kenny Chesneyand his management searching for a new label have been circling. However, both parties have denied such gossip. A source told the New York Post that Kenny was looking for a $30 million, five-album deal with a competing label. Kenny’s manager shot down the rumors. The singer is currently with Sony/BNA who had no comment on the story.
Nashville’s annual Grammy nominee party will be held tonight. Some of our most faved country artists are rumored to make an appearance. Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Eric Churchand Martina McBrideare expected to grace the red carpet amongst many more. All the forementioned are nominees for this year’s Grammy Awards which will be broadcasted on CBS, on Sunday, February 13th.
Speaking of Martina McBride, her compilation album comes out on store shelves today and is called Hits and More. The album has a total of 20-songs and includes some of her biggest hits such as “Independence Day,” “A Broken Wing,” “Whatever You Say,” and “In My Daughter’s Eyes.”
I reported yesterday that Jake Owen had broken his collar bone, but would not be canceling any shows. Well, the plans for Jake have changed a bit. He tweeted yesterday morning, during a doctor’s visit, stating, “I guess I spoke too soon. So sorry to my friends and fans. I’m going in for surgery tomorrow morning (meaning today). My shows will be postponed. “
