Kenny Chesney Switching Labels & More in Casey’s Taste of Country

Kenny ChesneyRumors concerning Kenny Chesneyand his management searching for a new label have been circling.  However, both parties have denied such gossip.  A source told the New York Post that Kenny was looking for a $30 million, five-album deal with a competing label.  Kenny’s manager shot down the rumors.  The singer is currently with Sony/BNA who had no comment on the story.

Speaking of Martina McBride, her compilation album comes out on store shelves today and is called Hits and More.  The album has a total of 20-songs and includes some of her biggest hits such as “Independence Day,” “A Broken Wing,” “Whatever You Say,” and “In My Daughter’s Eyes.”

I reported yesterday that Jake Owen had broken his collar bone, but would not be canceling any shows.  Well, the plans for Jake have changed a bit.  He tweeted yesterday morning, during a doctor’s visit, stating, “I guess I spoke too soon.  So sorry to my friends and fans.  I’m going in for surgery tomorrow morning (meaning today).  My shows will be postponed. :(“
