Kellie Pickler Debuts Acting Career & More in Casey’s Taste of Country

The Band Perry appearing on “Dancing With the Stars” tonight, 9pm Eastern Time on ABC.  The group is up for five CMA awards: Single of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year, Music Video of the Year and New Artist of the Year.  The CMA awards are just a few weeks away, on November 9^th also on ABC.

Also, on TV tonight, Kellie Pickler and her acting debut, on 90210.  Kellie will play the role of Sally, a country-singing cousin to local cowboy, Austin, played by Justin Deeley.  She’ll also be performing her single, “Tough.”

Montgomery Gentry released their seventh album today. "Rebels on the Run" is available and includes a total of 11 songs.  Troy and Eddie will also be headlinging the 28^th Annual Love Ride motorcycle rally with Jay Lenojust outside L.A. this coming Sunday, October 23^rd. 

Rascal Flatts has officially announced their winter tour, “Thaw Out 2012,” hitting fourteen cities, total.  Special guests Sara Evansand opener Hunter Hayes kicking of the tour with them on January 12^th, in Charleston, West Virginia.  Of course, as we know, the “rascals” will be coming here to Albany, Thursday, January 26^th. 

When interviewed, the boys said they usually agree on what singles will be hits before they actually record them -- which probably attributes to the group's great success.  They said they try to pick songs that sound like "Rascal Flatts."  I'd say they've done a pretty good job so far!
