 1985- Gary Morris makes history as the first singer to perform opera on the Grand Ole Opry with a song from "La Boheme."  Gary, who made the list of the Top 10 Country Singers to conquer Broadway, also had success on Broadway in Les Miserables.

1980- The Oak Ridge Boys top the Billboard country chart with 'Trying To Love Two Women.'

George Morgan, 1924. Grand Ole Opry Star and original writer and performer of the classic, 'Candy Kisses.' George's daughter Lorrie becomes a Country Music star and follows in his footsteps as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. George dies of a heart attack in 1975.

Kellie Pickler, 1986. "American Idol" finalist whose hits include 'Red High Heels,' 'I Wonder' and 'Best Days Of Your Life.'
