Keith Urban Having Throat Surgery

It has just been announced Keith Urban needs to undergo throat surgery. Doctors discovered a polyp on his vocal cords, according to Urban's publicist.  The surgery will happen sometime this month while he is still expected to perform at the Country Music Awards on November 9th.

The surgery is considered fairly minor.  However, as stated in a news release, Keith will undergo "an undetermined period of recuperation that will require the postponement of the 'All for the Hall' benefit concert."  Further details of his condition have not been released.

Also, stated in the release, Urban's publicist included, "all other appearances will be rescheduled in the new year."
