Bud Light Country Nights at Vapor were huge in 2010, with hundreds of fans showing up each month for line dance lessons, country dancing, and big prizes.  Vapor kicks off the 2011 season with Columbia recording artist Josh Thompson live in concert on Thursday, January 20.

As usual, I'll warm up the hardwood with the best in Country Dance Music from 7-9pm.  Then, WGNA welcomes one of the new stars of Nashville on the big stage at 9pm.  With three big hits under his belt, Josh Thompson is on his way to a great catalog of hit songs.  "Beer On The Table," "Way Out Here," and "Won't Be Lonely Long," have become favorites on the WGNA play list!

According to Josh Thompson's web site, he went to work for his father's pavement company during the day, while making music at night trying to make his dream a reality.

"I was still pouring concrete three days a week.  A lot of times I'd start at 7, then wash off with a garden hose and head to a writing appointment. Some nights I'd write songs until 2:30, get up at 6, splash some water on my face and do it again."

Josh was one of the lucky ones who found his way to Nashville.  Like so many others, he got his big break making connections and showcasing his talent at writer's nights.  After scoring a cut on Jason Michael Carrol's album, "Growing Up Is Gettin' Old," he caught the attention of record exectuives who offered him a deal to make music.

Josh Thomspon rocks Vapor Nightclub in Saratoga Gaming and Raceway on Thursday, January 20th.  Visit www.vapornightclub.com for more information.
