In a very emotional and public trail that lasted nearly a month the jury finally reached a verdict in the child death case yesterday.

Not guilty was the verdict for Joseph McElheney from Hoosick Falls. He was standing trial for killing his 4 month old daughter Ina. The jury found him not guilty of the 2 main charges murder and manslaughter.

The entire scenario is not over yet though. Jurors still remained deadlocked on a charge of child endangerment. McElheney will return to court in Troy to see how that turns out on Tuesday. Here's more on this big local story from WTEN News 10.
